where do Telethon wander, and where do they party? and wtf are butt critters?

Kevin Tully, vocalist and guitarist of Telethon, is a triple threat: singer, songwriter, and illustrator—and it all combines perfectly in the band’s quirky new single and lyric video, “Wanderparty.”
The last song to come out before the release of their new LP, Hard Pop, next Friday, “Wanderparty” is vivid, fast-paced, and frank. Reeling through lines like “Is that how it goes? Or am I uniquely boring? and if I’m uniquely boring is that bad?” with casual cadence is a technique familiar to Telethon, and it’s certainly one they’ve mastered here.
Telethon has also found itself a bit of a mascot in the proclaimed #buttcritter that this lyric video stars front and center. Blue and white to match the album's color palette, the critter is thrown through the narrative that Tully has crafted, one of wandering and one of partying.
Fun little fact: This song may sound faintly familiar to those who have listened to Telethon's first single, “How Long Do I Let It Go For?” and that's because the two actually share a lyric in “where do you wander and where do you party?"
Cool, right?? That barely even scratches the surface of easter eggs hidden all over this album. Get ready... Hard Pop is out next Friday, June 21!
